Rachel won Best Female Gospel Song of The Year in Australia, in the Australian Independent Country Music Artists Brumby Awards.
The Gala concert, dinner and awards presentation saw Rachel perform her award winning track "I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year", along with two other songs from her very popular albums.
Rachel was then presented with her trophy, as judged by 18 country music DJs from around the world.
"To win this category, the Gospel category, is very dear to my heart,” Rachel said.
“I believe it is important to inspire others, remind them that they aren't alone and to help strengthen their faith in God.
“There is way too much negativity in our society and a lot of individuals who don't support their fellow man, who like to bring others down and not lift them up.
“To have people coming up to me and telling me how much my music helps them, in different circumstances in their lives, is so heartwarming.
“This is confirmation to me that what I am doing is worthwhile,” Rachel said.
"I'd like to dedicate this win to Barry McMurtrie, the former Pastor of Glen Innes Crossroads Church and to his beautiful wife, the late Gay McMurtrie, (also) Peter Annetts, Shane Teinaki and all of my Crossroads family.”
Rachel also performed at The Gold Medallion Media Awards Presentation and luncheon, and was placed in the top three of the state.
There she also caught up with Australian X Factor's Justin Standley, where the prospect of recording a duet some time in the future was raised.
This resulted in her being named a finalist for NSW Best Female Vocalist of The Year.
"I am truly grateful to all of the radio presenters and the media whom voted for me. Thank you.
“I'm thrilled to be placed in the top three of NSW.”
Rachel performed at concerts and showcases, catching up with fellow artists and fans. In the process she gained many new supporters.
Rachel spent time signing Cds and having photos taken, but also managed to have some social time and attend concerts of her favourite artists.
Rachel plans on releasing her next album by the end of this year with the planning stages of recording sessions already underway.
" A big heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me. It means so much,” Rachel said.
“I'd like to thank my beautiful family, Daniel and all of my local supporters and the local outlets and media.”
