Judges of the Glen Innes Show store-front window displays did not have an easy job this week.

With the show almost here, Shoes @ Kwong Sings was judged the winner, taking out first prize on Monday.
Show society spokesperson Kate Dance said the competition was very strong this year.
“Most of the entries focused on the show as a whole,” Ms Dance said.
Second was awarded to Newbery Teveld Carige, with a display that also drew on the show as a whole.
Judges also awarded a highly commended this year. This honour went to AusGoat for their stunning effort that brought more show elements together.
“There was an exceptional amount of time and effort put into all the displays,” she said.
“Displays such as this one epitomises what the show is all about.”
Leanne Hamel accepted the trophy on behalf of the store.
“There are so many people to thank for every piece of this display,” Ms Hamel said.
“This one took about 10 hours to complete in the window.
“The backdrop, which is made up of various seeds and beans, will go on display within the store when it comes out of the window.
“The backdrop features the historic pavilions at Glen Innes Showground,” she said.
There was an exceptional amount of time and effort put into all the displays.

The display contains replicas of produce typical of a country farming area.
These are presented in a unique and beautiful way for the public to see.
Mung beans, sunflower seeds and rice grains will be looked at in a whole new light after people see this window display.
The backdrop alone showing the meticulous effort put in by designers.
The winners announced a huge thank you to those involved in helping with their window display.
Ms Hamel said there are so many people to thank.
“I’d like to extend a thank you to Melinda Cooper, Coles and Woolworths in Glen Innes, the McIndoe and Wolfe families, Notley’s Wool Store, Betty Whitten, Lester and Joan Watson, Steve Dunn, Jennifer Hamel, Glen Innes Timbers and the Men’s Shed,” she said.
