First grade, under 18s and ladies league tag have proved popular for the upcoming season with plenty of players putting their hands up to take to the field.
Nick Ehsman has taken the reins for the first grade team, Mark Gallagher will coach the league tag and Richard Taylor along with Gavin Peterson will lead the under 18s.
The club pushed, and were granted, the right host their home games on Sundays and president Barry Grob hoped to get the crowds behind the team when they run out in their first game against Tingha on April 2.
"That was something the town pushed for and we got it,” he said.
"Football used to always be Sunday games and then they changed it to Saturday.”
The club were unable to field a team due to lack of numbers but this year players have stepped up and shown more interest.
Grob said the club are still unsure whether a reserve grade team will lace up the boots.
"We have three but we do hope to have a reserve grade but it all depends on numbers,” he said.
"A lot of the boys just turn up to play but we will end up folding our reserve grade if they turn up.
"The boys are all back on board and going well.
"They have stepped up again so we just hope we can keep going forward.
The girls have been in the grand final four or five times but just can't win one and our juniors are up and down because you get that age group that comes through where there is a few less.
- Barry Grob
"All the local blokes that have been playing over the years have been playing again.”
The ladies league tag team has been one of the most successful since the competition started and Grob hoped this year would be the one they raise the trophy.
He said the under 18s will be competitive with some talented, young players among the group.
"They had a really good side come out of minor league last year,” he said.
"Some of the girls went away and played rugby union last year but numbers are pretty good.
"The girls have been in the grand final four or five times but just can't win one and our juniors are up and down because you get that age group that comes through where there is a few less.”
