Newsome, 22, is in the midst of his first campaign with the Western Force and came off the bench for his fifth Super Rugby cap at the weekend.
The outside back made four runs and as the Force went down 16-7 to the Chiefs at Perth’s NIB Stadium on Saturday.
Despite the uncertainty hanging over the Western Australian-based outfit, the Force is certainly playing with purpose.
Scores were locked 7-all at halftime before the class of Aaron Cruden saw the New Zealand side take the lion-share of points.
Newsome’s uncanny ability to find the try-line has followed him across the Nullarbor.
Despite limited opportunities, Newsome has crossed for three tries at Super Rugby level and will look to add to that tally when Western Force host South African club, the Lions on Saturday.
