It is the first time the two – who have both won Female Artist of the Year Golden Guitars – have toured together, and with Fanny Lumsden opening the show, the three artists have already been to the Hunter Valley and Tasmania.
This week it comes to Glen Innes, where they will play at Glen Innes & District Services Club on Thursday night.
“We’ve been having a ball out on the road, us girls. They’re both really good friends of mine, I love Amber and Fanny is my new favourite artist, so I’m pretty excited to be out on the road with them,” Britt told The Examiner.
The tour comes after Britt and Lumsden lent their voices to Cheers to The Girls, a song on Amber’s current album, Happy Ever After.
“Me and Amber have been friends for a long time,” Britt said.
“We’ve never been on tour together before, but we’ve jumped up on each other’s shows and always been really supportive of each other.”
Talking about her new favourite artist, Britt spoke very highly of Lumsden’s music.
“I think she’s really original, I think she’s different, and I think she’s writing incredible songs that I haven’t really heard from other artists before, you know, really quirky lyrics that are really her and really different, but also really speak to a lot of different people.
“The proof is in the awards I guess, she is taking out all the awards at the moment as well, I just think she’s fabulous.”
So where did the Love & Lies name come from for the tour?
“We thought about our songs, and basically the majority of our songs are about love or lies, so that’s how we went with it,” Britt explained.
Lumsden opens the show for half an hour, before Lawrence and Britt play their sets, which includes a few duets, before a big finale with all three artists.
“It’s a lot of fun. It’s a one-off show, we’ve been getting a lot of people out to the shows and they seem to be enjoying it, so that’s a nice feeling.”
It’ll be sad, but it’ll be a nice finale to finish it in Tamworth.

Following her battle with cancer, Britt said she was now feeling good again, describing herself as healthy and happy.
“I don’t know if it ever fully gets back to normal, but that’s a good thing.
“It shakes you up, changes your life and makes you live every day as best you can,” she said.
