The NSW Government have provided the club with $23,000 in funding and part of it will be spent on the new equipment as part of their Safe Shooting initiative.
The system rotates targets and gives shooters less time to hit them.
It is expected to help club members develop skills to compete at higher levels and at shoot service pistol snap competitions.
“They can shoot their ISSF matches the way they’re supposed to be shot,” Emmaville Rifle Range committee secretary Evan Brown said.
“So people who shoot here, can then get enough training to go to zone or interclub shoots.”
They will also spend part of the grant on installing hot water, showers and lighting to the existing toilet block. SSAA Glen Innes Branch secretary Evan Miller said his club would welcome the upgrades.
