The NSW government’s Fixing Country Roads funds can be used to fix roads, bridges and truck washes.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall said more than $7 million had already been injected into the region.
“This program helps councils deal with inefficiencies and bottlenecks on their local roads networks and makes communities safer and more comfortable places for us all to live in,” he said.
“Now councils have access to a new $100 million round of funding to further fix roads around the region.”
The fixes to truck washes, roads and bridges are expected to make country freight links more efficient.
Mr Marshall encouraged local Council to submit an application for the program.
“The most successful projects involve all levels of government,” he said.
“I recommend Councils… consider applying for funding under Federal Government initiatives such as the Bridges Renewal Programme, Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Programme and the Building Better Regions Fund.”
