The Netball season recommenced on Saturday in glorious conditions. In the Junior division, Fever were too strong got the Firebirds claiming a 9-1 victory. MVPs were Danyela Bailey and Summer Cooper. On Court 2, Magpies and Vixens battled it out to finish with a 1-all draw with MVPs going to Maddison Ellis and Maggie Duddy.

In the Intermediate division, the Swifts were too strong for the Giants winning 22-9. MVPs went to Tala Mepham and Edith Newbury. It was a close contest between Lightning and Thunderbirds with Lightning coming through strong in the last quarter to claim a 17-12 win. MVPs were Emma McGrath and Charli Lynn.
In the Opens, Col Say and Co continued their outstanding form to take a 45-18 win over Collingwood. Eleanor Malone and Claudia Sieber both played fantastic games to be awarded MVPs for the match. Tavern were too strong for CRT winning comfortably 43-14. MVPs were Sal Floyd and Matilda Sieber. Panel and Paint provided a challenge for Victorious Secret and were unlucky to be narrowly defeated 39-35. MVPs were Kaitlyn Wallbridge and Summa Carpenter.
The association will be hosting an Umpires Course on Tuesday 25th July from 5-7pm at the Glen Innes Public School library. All participants will receive a free netball rulebook and will have the opportunity to sit the foundation umpires exam and receive mentoring from experienced umpires.
