“What we’ll be aiming to do is take control of it and run it a little earlier next year to tie into the NSW Chamber Awards,” he said.
“That way winners can automatically transfer into the regional categories.
“We’ll take it on, revamp it and probably change a few of the categories.”
Kylie Hawkins said trying to organise something now would be difficult.
“Off the back of Chill N Glen, there’s really only two of us that do the Business Awards and we’d like to work on the success of Chill N Glen in terms of drawing together a committee for the awards, moving forward,” she said.
“It’s just not realistic to think that that’s achievable in a month.
“We definitely don’t want to do away with the awards by any means because it’s such an admired event in the community.” The awards have been running for almost two decades.
