High School strikes the high note

Every big show starts somewhere and rehearsals for the Glen Innes High School production of Grease have just started. Music teacher, Dylan McKean, and maths teacher, Alok Pisharody, plus lead actors from the school have started work on the popular musical.  The leads were chosen after two highly competitive weeks of audition – boys, apparently, were more bashful and reluctant to step on stage than were girls.  The chorus is yet to be recruited The hard work – and fun – bears fruit at the Chapel Theatre for a week from December 1.  Dylan McKean said: “The kids love it.”
