The team finished the three rounds with 14 wins and one draw against three-time reigning premiers Quirindi.
The draw came on Sunday and coach Julie Fuller said it was simple mistakes which cost them the outright win.
“It was just a few little things,” she said.
“It was a 23-all draw so it doesn't get any closer than that. Our girls panicked a bit too much and did some silly things, that's all.
“They have young heads and it was probably our fault as well as coaches, we probably made them a bit nervous as well.”
The finals head to Tamworth this Sunday and Fuller believes it will be a battle between her young side and the current champions to take out the crown.
“We play them first and see if we can get into the grand final and if we lose we play the others,” she said.
“I don't think anyone else is going to come close to either of us.
“They've won it the last three years.
“I think they are bit nervous too, I don't think they are going to take us too lightly.”
The courts in Tamworth are built indoors which could initially favour the Quirindi side but Fuller believes her squad’s fitness levels could also factor into the result.
“Now it is actually four quarters and I think that will actually help us,” she said.
“Our fitness level is probably a little bit better.
“They have got old heads, they know strategic things and do a lot of game sense stuff and a lot of set moves but maybe our fitness will help us in the end.”
The Glen Innes team has worked on their composure throughout the week and will aim to clean up the mistakes which held them back in the last round.
“We just have to value our passes, really value the ball,” Fuller said.
“I would imagine it would be a battle of the centrecourt.
“Our shooting is great, our defence is great and so is their's so it will be a battle.
“Hopefully the four quarters will get us up in the end.”
Glen Innes’ second division side also snagged a spot in the finals, nudging Armidale out while the third division team will also take the court.
