Glen Innes 12s earned a grand final berth, while several other local teams will play next week.
The Under 10s took on a big Warialda side in the minor semi final on Saturday.
Warialda were first to score with Glen Innes fighting back as Ben Arandale scooted from dummy half over the line and Cousin Jake Bruce kicking the conversion in very windy conditions taking the score to a nail biting 6 all.
Warialda ran the ball hard through Glen Innes and scored their second try before half time.
The second half saw two teams play it out with great defence holding each other to no score in the second half.
Warialda came out on top 12-6 in what was very cod and trying conditions.
Congratulations to the U10s for a stella season coming in fourth on the ladder.
A great group of kids with big hearts that played to the best of their ability each week. Congratulations.
The under 12s played Inverell in the major semi final in very trying conditions.
The boys come out on top putting themselves into the grand final. It was a great reward for the team as they have put the work in, congrats guys looking forward to the next two weeks.
The SLT girls tried to find something against Armidale on Saturday but just couldn't get any sort of roll on.
The girls trailed 8-4 at half time and were well in the game, however in the desperately cold conditions could not hold Armidale out in the second half.
The final score was 26- 8. Try scorers were Jasmine Doust and Mackenzie Grob.
Mackenzie's try was a beauty coming from a superb little chip kick by Gabi Panebianco that Mackenzie swooped on to score.
It was a gutsy effort by all the girls.
The mighty Under 14s took on Moree in the minor semi final on Saturday in Guyra.
On a bitterly cold day the boys dug deep and came out on top 24- 10!
On a bitterly cold day the boys dug deep and came out on top.
This earns them the right to play Armidale next Saturday for a place in the grand final against Inverell. Well done boys, super effort.
Our Under 16's were unlucky being defeated 26-10 by a strong Inverell side.
Try scorers were Ali Crossley and Bayden Grob with a conversion also by Bayden.
