In a speech last week in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Marshall urged the Australian Red Cross to reverse its decision of two years ago to centralise blood collection services in the region to just Armidale and Tamworth, removing opportunities for donors in Inverell, Moree and Glen Innes to make their monthly contributions locally.
Our local MP had visited the Inverell Times offices three months ago following our request for a return of blood collection services. He promised to campaign for the return of a blood collection services provided there was enough interest.
