Police claim they have disrupted the supply of methylamphetamine in the town after a secret operation, code-named Strike Force Milbrooke.
Emma Louise Owen is behind bars charged with nine drug-related offences after her arrest by Glen Innes detectives.
“Strike Force Millbrook was established by Glen Innes detectives and assisted by officers from the New England Target Action Group (TAG) to investigate the supply of methylamphetamine in the Glen Innes area,” New England Detective Inspector Ann Joy told Fairfax Media.
Owens was arrested by police in Glen Innes late-last week and charged with eight counts of supplying a prohibited drug as well as one count of supplying on an ongoing basis – a charge that carries a maximum of 20 years imprisonment.
The 32-year-old appeared in Tenterfield Local Court but made no application for bail before it was formally refused by Magistrate Michael Holmes.
“Police will allege the 32-year-old woman was involved in the supply of methamphetamine in the Glen Innes area,” Detective Inspector Joy said.

“These incidents are all alleged to have occurred between July and August this year in Glen Innes.”
Police will allege Owens was already on bail for drug supply charges, connected to the investigation, before her fresh arrest.
“This is a significant arrest and New England police are committed to disrupting the supply of prohibited drugs in our communities,” Detective Inspector Joy said.
“A significant amount of resources were devoted to this investigation which extend back over a number of months.”

Co-accused Angus Eden remains in custody on one charge of drug supply following his arrest on August 24.
Police allege he took part in the supply of more than 3.5g of methylamphetamine in early August in Glen Innes.
Eden, 23, was refused bail in Armidale Local Court in early-September after Mr Holmes found he was not able to show cause for release.
“I note he was on parole at the time of the commission of the alleged offence,” he told the court.
Police said investigations by Strike Force Millbrook continue.
