It will be spectacular in every sense: more than a hundred dancers in a small theatre, performing fast-moving routines of every style of dance from Bollywood to Hip-hop to Broadway.

Dancers from the High School, the Public Schools in Glen Innes and Deepwater, the Star Avenue Dance Centre, Kidzdance and kindergartens will combine for their “Dance Spectacular, 2017” at the Chapel Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday, October 11 and 12.  There are performances in the evening at 7 pm and in the day for school audiences.

The students have been rehearsing for weeks for the event which will run at the Chapel Theatre on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October next week with shorter shows at 10 am and 1 pm both days for school audiences and a longer program both nights starting at 7 pm. Tickets for the Night Shows are $15 Adults and $10 concessions available at Carelles with limited seats available for the day sessions at the door...arrive early.

They will be mostly girls – though there is one boy in the High School dance group.  Dancing is done as a sport at the High School and this is one of their big events.

They train as hard as any sports player – on Thursday afternoons and on Sundays.

And it may be more strenuous than most sports.

And certainly more beautiful.
