It was an annual event run by volunteers to promote the appreciation of German culture throughout New England.
The theme this year was the Sound of Music and guests dressed the parts.
The festivities were overseen by Glen Innes Mayor, Steve Toms, who was declared the honorary Bürgermeister (Mayor) of Glen Innesbruck for the occasion. He opened with the magic words “O’zapft is” (it is tapped).
The entertainment at the Masonic Centre was provided by Fritz Hapke and the Hexenbrut Dancers.
Christl and Ross Haron looked after the catering along with members of the Glen Innes Masonic Lodge.
*Everyone enjoyed themselves.
