The organisation in Glen Innes is getting in a week before the national celebration of Big Cake Day. The Glen Innes stall is on Friday, October 20, while the national event is on October 27.
The organisation’s Annette Law said: “The Red Cross is always here whether it’s during a crisis or giving someone the tools they need to build a better life.
“Our street stall is one of thousands of Big Cake Bake events being organised around Australia this October. “We’d be grateful if our community joined the fun.
“Every dollar raised will go to support the work of the Red Cross, helping people overcome crises, big and small.”
The Red Cross said: “All donations raised from Big Cake Bake will support the everyday work of Red Cross, including to help people overcome crisis in Australia and beyond - whether that's helping to build healthy communities, giving someone a safe place to stay, or supporting people as they recover from an emergency.”
“Big Cake Bake is a delicious reason to get together with colleagues, friends and family.”
