Gunnedah-based Fuller first dipped her toe into the coaching world as a 15-year-old. Move forward a few years and the Glen Innes product gained a coaching role with NIAS – where she’s been for eight years – before also moving into the coaching ranks with NSW – first the 17s and now the 19s – which is something of a dream role for Fuller.
“I love netball, I’ve played since I was little,” Fuller said.
“I’m a teacher, too, so this [coaching and teaching] is all very similar to me.
“The development of a kid in all areas is what I love doing. The fact that it’s with netball as well is just amazing.”
As an apprentice coach for the 19s team, Fuller will work with head coach Lenore Blades and assistant coach Amber Cross. Fuller will make trips to Sydney before the end of the year for selection trials before things ramp up in January.
