A spokesman said that $175,000 would be available “to financially support initiatives and projects that enrich and enhance the local community.
“Funding applications will be considered from all sectors, including but not limited to community development, the arts, education and training, health and well-being, sport, economic development, environment and sustainability”.
Applications will be limited to those from non-profit organisations within 50 kilometres of the farm, a radius which includes Glen Innes easily and just about Inverell.
Applications will be assessed by White Rock’s “Community Fund Committee” made up of people from the company and representatives of the communities.
‘We’re very pleased to make these funds available to the local community each year”, said Brian Hall of the Community Fund Committee.
“We’ve worked very closely with the Community Consultative Committee, and Inverell and Glen Innes Severn Councils to get the fund up and running. “We look forward to seeing the initiatives put forward for funding this year and in the years to come”.
Applications will be open soon and close on September 14.
