This is exciting news for all young beef cattle enthusiasts, especially those interested in travelling and studying abroad, Angus Australia youth development officer Shelley Piper said, with the company pleased to be able to develop a relationship with such a well-respected agricultural university.
“Kansas State University is internationally recognised for its cattle teaching and research facilities” Ms Piper said.
“This scholarship will provide young Australians in the beef industry with an exceptional learning opportunity and also the chance to expand their horizons and build life-long skills.
“The winning student will have the opportunity to study animal science and agriculture alongside our other students, and experience firsthand all aspects of the US beef industry, including seedstock production, commercial cow/calf production, cattle feeding and the packing industry,” KSU university liaison and associate professor of animal science Dan Moser said.
“Kansas State University considers it a great honour to host the winner of this scholarship. We look forward to a long term relationship with the Angus Australia in this effort.”
