Glen Innes girl Melanie Landers represented the town at the Zone 4 competition.
Warialda showgirl Courtney Loosemore and Narrabri showgirl Ellen John wowed the judges with their passion for agriculture and rural communities demonstrated through their studies, work, and volunteer contributions.
Miss Loosemore is an administration assistant at Ceres Agricultural Co in Warialda. She has returned to the district after attending boarding school in Toowoomba and university in Brisbane. She holds a Bachelor of Business and is a dedicated member of her local show.
Originally from Griffith, Miss John teaches primary school children in Narrabri. She’s passionate about securing results for indigenous and remote children and spends a great deal of her time playing sport to embed herself in the school community.
The pair were sashed in front of a crowd of 200 who packed the Walgett Sporting Club.
