The wind farm is the biggest in the New England region and began construction in January.
Mr Joyce said he was particularly pleased with the local involvement with the project.
“Throughout the construction process the builder CWP Renewables has provided 200 full-time jobs during construction, all staying in the Glen Innes and Inverell communities spending approximately $600,000 in these communities each month,” the New England MP said.
“At least 30 of these jobs are held by Glen Innes and Inverell locals who are directly employed on site. During the operations phase 20 full-time jobs will be filled by locals, which is excellent news for these communities.
“This project along with other similar projects in the region make the New England area the leader in renewable energy production and export, and will help Australia reach its renewable energy targets.”
