The Group 19 junior president’s involvement in the sport stretches back 30 years.
Guyra junior league president Gina Lockyer said the honour was thoroughly deserved.
“I do not know anyone more committed than she is,” she said.
“She is amazing, if anyone deserves it, she does. She has every person and every child’s best interests at heart. I don’t know how she does it, I’d be divorced.”
Minor League president Adrian Bruce echoed Lockyer’s comments and said she is also the local refereeing coordinator.
“What she does for the young kids refereeing is unbelievable,” he said.
“She gets them going and she just looks after them. It is terrific what she does.”
The awards ceremony is this Saturday in Sydney.
