Grand Final day drew a great crowd of supporters for what shaped up to be a very exciting day. In the Junior Division Vixens were the Major Premiers beating Magpies 6-3. These two teams have battled it out for top spot on the ladder over the whole season. In the Minor Grand Final Firebirds defeated Fever 7-5. The 2017 Season MVP went to Sophie Watt with notable performances in each match throughout the season Sophie has been an instrumental player for her team. Player of the Grand Final went to Charlotte Ellis who has taken to the game displaying fine attacking and defensive skills while demonstrating great sportsmanship. Coaches most improved awards went to Maggie Duddy, Madison Ellis, Sierra Donnelly and Molly Anderson.

In the Intermediate Division Lightning, surprised Giants taking out the first quarter but Lightning fought back with some excellent defence winning the Major Grand Final 18-9. Swifts took out the Minor Grand Final beating Thunderbirds 15-6. Charli Lynn was awarded the 2017 Season MVP while Louisa Beatty took out Player of the Grand Final. Coaches most improved awards went to Isabelle Wright, Emma McGrath, Courtney McGuire and Matilda Sieber who all excelled throughout the year.
In an extremely close match between the young guns of the competition Victorious Secret won the Major Grand Final in the Open Division defeating Panel and Paint. At the final whistle, Victorious Secret narrowly secured the victory in a fiercely competitive match 26-24. Col Say and Co took out the Minor Grand Final defeated Tavern 46-41. In a high scoring match that went goal for goal from the first whistle, these two teams battled it out to be locked at 36 all at full time. In extra time, Col Say and Co came out determined with some quick conversions to come away victors. The 2017 Season MVP was awarded to Kristin Lynn, Kristin Bailey, Kristine Williamson and Nicole Griffiths all on equal points. Player of the Grand Final went to Jess Crawford displaying prowess through the centre court and outstanding sportsmanship.
Our netball dads also had a chance to shine in a Feature Match which saw them take on the up-and-coming Collingwood girls. The men came out determined to shine and with their height advantage were able to walk away with a draw 6-6 at full time providing some great entertainment for the crowd.
