Despite Glen Innes’ interclub season getting off to a strong start, no local dressage riders will be turning out on Saturday.
Bundarra chief instructor Sharon Irwin said none of the Zone’s most northern clubs have entrants but hoped they would turn out for the interclub on Sunday.
“This is the second consecutive year we have run it, Bundarra has run the Zone 13 dressage previously but we also ran it last year,” she said.
“I am a bit disappointed with the entries because they have only come from the southern part of the Zone, we don't have anybody from Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Inverell.
“They mustn't be dressage people.
“I don't have a single Inverell dressage and I am not going to take them now, entries closed on Friday and I have done a draw.”
“I have been doing this for 30 years and 20 years ago we used to have 220 competitors for one of these days.
The interclub day commences on the Saturday after the dressage with two showjumping rounds to be conducted – an AM2 and an accumulator.
Sunday’s events begin at 8.30am with the hack and rider classes followed by sporting.
