After a series of tough auditions, Jennifer Mackenzie was picked for the CAPERS show earlier this month. (CAPERS is the biennial production involving public school children from the North West and New England areas in a spectacular production of music, dance, drama and visual arts).
When Jennifer was chosen, her dance teacher, Lindy Alt, said: “Jennifer has only been dancing and singing since she started at Glen Innes High School in Year 7, so to have achieved so much in three and a half years is a testament to her talent and dedication.
“To be selected as a featured soloist in both music and dance is a very rare and prestigious thing for both Jennifer and the Glen Innes High School.”
On Saturday, she led the singing of the national anthem at the Glen Innes Remembrance Ceremony in Anzac Park.
This is not ‘a kids show’, it is a professionally produced performance with big screens and broadcast quality video, with spectacular special effects.
