Alleged Glen Innes escapee recaptured
POLICE have confirmed a man who allegedly escaped from the Glen Innes Correctional Centre was recaptured on Monday morning.

Officers had been searching for the 27-year-old man since last Tuesday after he was reported missing late in the afternoon.
A search of the centre and surrounding grounds failed to find the man and police had launched a state-wide appeal for assistance.
New England police have confirmed to Fairfax Media the man was taken into custody early on Monday morning after reportedly handing himself in to authorities.
Officers said charges are expected to be laid.
