More than fifty riders braved the weather to take part in a recent series of cycle events centred on Glen Innes.

Cyclists from Inverell, Armidale, Tamworth, Coffs Harbour came to the town to participate in rides for all standards and all ages from three up. The first ride from Glen Innes to Red Range was testing.
It was to raise money for cancer research, and organised by Mike Stone who was inspired by his wife’s battle with the disease.
“The research has kept Vicki with me,” he said before the events he generated with the help of friends who rallied round.
Local businesses donated products and services worth $9,365. Peter Teschner gave carbon wheels worth $3,000.
