The sublime knock couldn't have come at a better time when Stapleton was joined at the crease by captain Brendon Jilett with the Kings in deep trouble at 3-9.
Both Stapleton and Jilett bashed the Colts bowling to establish an 82-run partnership to steer the Kings to 7-122 after their allotted 20 overs.
Best bowling for Colts came from Michael Miller 3-22 from four overs and Matt Campion who also bowled four overs to pick up 3-23.
The Colts run chase started slowly with Ritesh Shekhawat (11) and Tom Benton (26) being the only batsmen to score double figures.
The Kings bowling attack continued to take wickets at regular intervals to wrap up the match with a 20-run buffer as Colts finished their innings on 9-102.
Toby Shannon was the pick of the Kings’ bowlers with 3-21 from four overs while Stapleton capped off an impressive individual effort with 1-6 from his four.
In the other game, Cavaliers were unable to field a team to travel to Emmaville to hand Emmaville the win via forfeit.
Next week will see the Emmaville side take on the Colts at Emmaville while the Cavaliers play host to the Kings at King George Oval.
