A new garden for children in Glen Innes has been opened. It’s at the Pool House next to the swimming pool.
Different groups use the centre through the week, and they’ll have access to the garden which consists of a small strawberry patch and rocks and climbing apparatus.
On Tuesday, the centre keeps children with disabilities active and engaged.
On Thursday, there’s an Aboriginal play group and on Friday there are sessions called “My Time” for adults who care for others– it’s meant to give them breathing space and time to relax.
The organisers particularly want Aboriginal children to come and participate. Buses are organised to pick kids up.
