Swimming season is well and truly underway and the Redfins were among the results when they competed at the Inverell Long Course Development Carnival on Sunday.

Twelve swimmers, consisting of 11 girls and one boy, took on the event.
Swimmers were from six to-13 years old and made and impression on the competition with a series of placings and improved times.
Lily Cooke who swam for the North West Development Squad beat her own times in three of her events.
The most impressive of her personal bests came in the 200 metre individual medley where she shaved 23 seconds off her personal best.
She also managed to beat her previous 50m breaststroke time by eight seconds and her 50m freestyle by two seconds.
Under 10 athlete Cadence McShane was among the medals and personal bests at the meet.
She won bronze in the 100m breastroke, finished fourth in the 100m butterfly with an 18 second personal best, fourth in the 50m breaststroke and fifth in the 200m individual medley along with two more personal bests during the carnival.
Warne McShane finished third in the under nine’s 25m butterfly and first in the breaststroke as well as managing two personal bests on the day.
Kyara McIntyre claimed two first places, four second places and a fourth in the under 13-year-old events.
Chelsea McIntyre was competing in her first carnival and put in strong performances.
Emma McIntyre was another who smashed her own records with her best of the day an 18 second-improvement in her 100m freestyle.
Chelsea-Rose Kerr competed in 50m freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke to claim bronze, 50m backstroke with a silver, 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley which she won bronze in.
Jaydah Kerr won bronze in her 50m butterfly.
The results in the pool come through hours in the pool with training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and they also do stroke correction training on a Sunday morning.
Coach Keith Watts was thrilled with all the results of the Redfins members at the Inverell carnival.
Their training will continue right through summer with eyes on the prizes at the club’s annual championship event.
