His side took on Gunnedah in round four of the Tim Grosser Cup on Sunday and Campion helped keep the team’s unbeaten record in tact. Armidale won the toss and elected to bat.
Ben Heagney opened and continued his form to top score with a knock of 55.
Campion contributed with 19 in his team’s total of 228.
A tough 55 run-opening stand by Gunnedah’s Jayden Winsor saw the visitors dig in but Armidale’s bowling proved the difference.
Campion knocked the bails off twice to finish with 2-26 from 8.5 overs for Armidale to win by 84 runs.
Campion is among a host of cricketers from Glen who travel to Armidale to play junior cricket with no competition locally.
Mitch Duddy is part of Armidale’s under 12s squad who were triumphant over Gunnedah.
