Former Negs student Charlotte Raleigh and Gunnedah’s Eliza Perkins, who played representative netball for Glen Innes, were selected in the state body’s Talent Development Squad for 2018 which is made up of the NSW’s best up and coming netballers. There are 29 players in the squad from all over the state and will train every week under some of the country’s top netball coaches. Raleigh and Perkins both starred in the Northern Inland Academy of Sport’s netball program, racking up award wins and representative honours throughout their time on the court.
Perkins is just entering her HSC year and is set for a busy one as she attempts to balance all of these netball commitments with the HSC but she is confident she can manage both, along with her daily training regime.
