Glen Innes Severn Council has announced a series of road closures next week. It will mean cars won’t be able to use the roads, either for driving or parking. The roads are having their surfaces improved.

The closures will be from January 15 and cars should be removed before then.
They are:
- Taylor Street between Hunter Street and Church Street;
- Coronation Avenue between Ferguson Street and Lang Street;
- Bourke Street at the far eastern end near Tregurtha Way;
- Bates Avenue.
The council says: “Working hours will be between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and please note that on street car parking will be unavailable during working hours. We kindly request that arrangements are made to relocate vehicles prior to the commencement of works.
“Updates and any changes to these works will be posted on Council’s Facebook page and website.
“Council will endeavour to complete these works with minimal impact on residents and please be assured that Council will accommodate any emergency situations where access is required. We regret any inconvenience that these works may cause and thank you for your understanding and co-operation.”
