It was a festival of fun with a lot of shouting on of heroes – some at a fast swimming speed and some just for doing their brave best.

There was competitive swimming, with times used to qualify  for entry at the North West Swimming Trials in Armidale on March 6.

But mostly it was fun, with a series of novelty races involving plastic ducks and such like.
