"These works stand comparison with those in much bigger, city galleries."

A new exhibition has opened at the Gawura Gallery.

It’s called “Coming Together” and features a variety of artists, including Lloyd Hornsby (whose gallery it is) and Brent Emerson, another Aboriginal artist from the area.

There’s also work by Sarah Fletcher who draws finely with a pencil on paper, and so exact are her pictures that they almost look like photographs. They display detailed draftsmanship and punctilious observation which reveals the truth at the heart of the place or the person she depicts.
