It all starts with breakfast from 7-9am with a bacon and egg sandwich and coffee for $10. There will be plenty to eat and drink all day with a barbecue, sandwiches, home baking, cold drinks, tea, and barista coffee available.
There will be market stalls to browse with local produce, gemstones, arts and crafts. Being Easter a special rabbit will be making an appearance to help with the egg hunt, and there’ll be more for the kids with fossicking and face painting.
Those feeling lucky can invest in a spin of the ham wheel, lucky envelopes or even back a yabby with local farmers dredging their dams for the fastest competitors. The raffle includes some handy items like a coffee machine and Kincrome jump starter, and the winner will be drawn at 1.30pm.
All proceeds from the day go towards keeping the hall operational and it’s receiving quite a facelift. The old steps have just been replaced with an access ramp thanks to council founding, and Tenter Shire Council mayor Peter Petty and chief executive Terry Dodds will be attending to check out the improvements.
The hall committee has also purchased its new kitchen complete with stove and dishwasher, and is just awaiting a volunteer effort to get everything up and running.
This is the committee’s major fundraiser for the year, and community support for the fun day will help keep the hall open.
