She is at the aquatic centre helping people to their seats and generally being helpful.
The mother from Glen Innes was one of those chosen from the 47,000 who applied to be “Game Shapers” at the Gold Coast competitions.
She doesn’t get paid – apart from with the satisfaction of helping and of witnessing a great event.
She has had the weekends free so she and her husband and three children have gone to other events.
She was chosen for her friendliness. When she was interviewed one of the questions was : when was the last time you went out of your way to help somoene?
She replied that she had give a stranger a lift to Brisbane on that very trip.
Now she’s getting her reward a poolside place at one of the most exciting sporting events.
