The ambitious proposal is dependent on money being found in grants but the jewel in its crown would be a new indoor stadium for netball at Wilson Park at a total cost of more than $9 million.
Kerry Mead Park would also see substantial upgrading at a cost of more than $3 million.
There would also be an upgrade of the facilities at the Deepwater Oval.
The Lynch Oval on the western side of Glen Innes would be the loser, with a possibility of changing it to either parkland or even to sell it off for housing.
The proposal for revamping sports facilities is now open for inspection at the Town Hall. Mayor Steve Toms emphasised that it is a plan made after consulting sporting bodies and for when and if grant money becomes available.
