Glen Innes Tennis Club will host a Junior Development Series event on Sunday July 1, starting time is 8.30am. Players will be attending from all across the North West region. A boys’ and girls’ singles round robin event will include under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 21 divisions. Information regarding entries is available online at https://www.facebook.com/North-West-Tennis. There will be a working bee to prepare the courts for the event on Sunday June 24 at 9am.

In other news the club has put in a submission to resurface the two southern courts through the Community Building Partnership initiative. This is a $50,000 upgrade which the club hopes to match dollar for dollar. The club thanks the Glen Innes Sports Council for the $800 assistance grant to replace all the internal and external gates which are in poor condition. Total cost will be over $2200, so the grant is very helpful and appreciated by the club.
