The Glen Innes Library has free activities for children during the July school holidays:
Tuesday, July 10: Craft session 10.30am to 11.30am.
Thursday, July 12: Peter Rabbit movie 10.30am to 12.20pm;
Tuesday, July 17: Science workshop with Jake 10.30am to 11.30am
Bookings are essential for each activity. Please contact Library staff on 6730 2600 to book for any of these activities. Consent forms must be collected and completed before each activity is held.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION
Council’s Children and Family Services (CAFS) has a Vacation Care program from 8am to 6pm weekdays for children aged 6 to 12 years. To book a place in the program please call CAFS before the school holidays on 6730 2210 or 0427 011 974.
There are free activities at the Glen Innes and District Community Centre on Fridays from 12 to 3pm during the vacation for youth aged 12 to 18 years, including music, wi-fi, craft and ping pong. Only 15 places are available. Please contact the centre on 6732 1682 to book.
Other local vacation activities include the Chapel Theatre movies ($10 for children, $14 for adults); and the skate park and exercise park.
North Skate Skating Rink is open from 2pm to 4.30pm Wednesday to Sunday ($7.00), and on Friday 6 July from 6 to 9pm ($10).
