Photographers who want to display their pictures – it’s a show not a competition – should take their work to the town art gallery next to the TAFE between 10 am and 2 pm.
The work should be mounted, ready to hang and, ideally, on photographic paper.
The name of the exhibition which opens on July 20 described its intent: “Glen Thru the Lens” – pictures of our town and its surrounds.
One of the organisers, Stephen Wright, said he was particularly excited by different views from the usual.
The town has good buildings and the scenery is magnificent and they make nice pictures, but he really liked a recent series of photographs taken of the back of the shops on Grey Street.
It was a bit contrarian and interesting.
