Colin Say & Co are planning a repeat of last year’s “Led Steer Extravaganza” – but bigger and better.
Director, Shad Bailey, said there were already 85 entries in the steer and heifer sections, and that was double last year’s entry.
There is another class in the competitions – for export animals, determined by weight.
The event runs on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16, with the Saturday devoted to junior competitions and the Sunday to the industry event. It will be “hoof and hook” with the second part judged on the Tuesday.
At the showground on Sunday, steers and their young handlers, competed in the Led Steer Extravanganza. Promoting youth in the beef industry, it was organised by Colin Say & Co. Pictures: Tony Grant.
