Jim Ritchie and Brett Bishop retained the top two positions but David Scott became secretary and David Lewis became treasurer.
President, Jim Ritchie, thanked former-secretary, Kylie Hawkins of Glen Industries who stepped down, saying she had “put her heart and soul into the business community for the betterment of the Glen Innes Community in general”.
The two new members of the top team are both newcomers to the area.
David Scott’s business is Glen Gowrie Distillery on Furracabad Road. He has been involved in business elsewhere and says that the key to good meetings is keeping them ”short and sharp, with committed people leaving with positive actions to be accomplished”.
David Lewis came from Brisbane just over a year ago. He has a background in marketing for not-for-profit organisations. He’s also a web designer and he’s been redesigning the Business in Glen website.

He thanked the membership and praised the work put into the Spend in Glen initiative and Chill n Glen event. AThese events had massive support from the locals and visitors and were acknowledged as being a major boost to both local business and the community”.
