Preparations for the Anglican church fete are well in hand, according to the vicar, the Reverend David Robinson.
The event is on October 27 and will feature many of the old favourites.
But also, the vicar says they reckon they’ve got a promise of an inflatable soccer field and also a dunking machine.
The staple, though, will be the food. “Carol Shannon’s cakes sell out in minutes”, said David Robinson, “There’s usually a line outside the hall even before they open the doors for her cakes”.
The floral display in the church is expected to be a highlight.
On the Sunday after the fete, there’s to be a service of thanksgiving at 8.30, combing the usual early and mid-morning services.
