Hosting alongside the Inverell club, a huge number of riders turned out for the back-to-back events which included show riding, showjumping and sporting.
“It was a fantastic success,” Glen Innes deputy chief instructor Alison Spencer said.
“I think Inverell had 108 riders on the Saturday and we had 100 on the Sunday.
“We had riders from pretty much every club within the Zone and we also had some Zone 8 riders come across from Moree and Bingara as well.
“Everyone had a successful weekend from a Glen Innes point of view, everyone was competitive, got a few ribbons and had a great time.”
In terms of results, Lali Halt went back-to-back in winning the champion sash for the seven and under nine-years-old age group.
Sam Spencer won champion and Angus Cameron was reserve on Sunday, Sam Donnelly also claimed the double.
Shannon Williamson won champion on Saturday and reserve on Sunday with Luke Kiehne winning the champion sash.
This weekend marks another double header and the end of the northern Zone 13 clubs’ interclub gymkhana season.
Riders will gather at Tenterfield for the Emmaville and Tenterfield competitions.
Spencer is hoping Glen Innes riders make their way there.
“I think we will probably have similar numbers to Inverell,” she said.
“We usually have quite a good representation up there because it is quite a fun weekend and a nice showground with heaps of shade.”
Spencer was also thankful towards the committee and Inverell clubs for running the event.
