After the storm that passed over Glen Innes late on Thursday afternoon last week, Mother Nature did her best to put on its own Christmas light show over town.
A couple of lucky people in the main street managed to get a photo or two of a wonderful double rainbow over the top of the Town Hall in Grey Street.
But a quick snap on the phone does not do justice to the colours and spectacle that were on display for just a few minutes after the welcome rain. And more welcome rain has continued in the days since.
The 8.8mm of rain which fell locally on Thursday, was followed by a good fall of 41.4mm on Friday.
Six millimetres fell on Sunday, followed by 5.4 by Monday afternoon.
