Organisers of regional events set down for the second-half of this year were encouraged to apply for a slice of the $500,000 funding on offer from the NSW Government by Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall, who reminded event owners that applications for Round Two of the Incubator Event Fund and Flagship Event Fund remained open.

“Our State is blessed with some of the most iconic and vibrant regional events in the country, but we as a Government want to see even more regional events take off,” Mr Marshall said.

“That’s why we’re offering generous financial assistance to help get first-time events off the ground or assist relatively new events gain the reputation they need to become even bigger and more successful.
“Since the Regional Flagship Program was introduced in 2011, more than $6.2 million has been provided to around 180 events throughout rural and regional NSW.”
Applications for Round Two of both funds close on Sunday, January 13.
