A Freshwater at Glenlyon Dam in November where 20 members fished with the fishing really good on the Saturday. Most members recorded fish with 77 fish recorded for the weekend.
Lorraine Miller found the best spot picking up 13 nice fish she was soon joined by a few other boats drifting by who all caught fish .
The ladies did really well with April Correy landing nine with the biggest a 47cm Silver Perch, Toni Stibbard got seven, Natalie Spencer got five biggest a 57cm Catfish and Deb Correy even got in on the act with four nice Yellow belly, Eliza Correy recorded the biggest Yellowbelly at 45cm and for the Men Tony Stibbard followed up his good haul at Keepit with 11 nice fish.
The Winners Overall Lorraine Miller 13 fish at 555cm, Mens Tony Stibbard 11 at 468cm Junior Brad Spencer 2 at 85cm and secrety length April Correy.
The next comp was our annual Australia Day Long Weekend at Yamba/Iluka where over 30 members fished the Clarence the Farlow family had 15 of them come up for the weekend.
There were some really good Flathead caught with Tony and Toni Stibbard recording the biggest of 81cm and 79cm respectively using live herring in their secret spot, Chucky and Brock Farlow also scored fish in the 70cm range using plastics in the Lakes area there were a few caught in the 60cm range with Chucky, Courtney and Toni recording these Brenton Hodge also got one at 55cm.
It was great to see Titch Williams back on the water with Jye landing the biggest Whiting at 35cm up Oyster Channel.
A lot of Bream where caught with the biggest being 40cm by Tony Stibbard. The Winners Overall Toni Stibbard 18 Fish at 704cm, Mens Chucky Farlow 10 Fish at 499cm and Junior Jye Williams three fish at 96cm.
The barefoot bowls on Saturday afternoon was won by Brenton Hodge, Derani and Curly Mather. It was a great fun weekend had by all.
The most recent comp was a Freshwater fish anywhere 16 members fish three different locations with 37 fish caught.
Cory Mather and April Correy faired best of the Copeton crew recording nine fish between them with the biggest being a 63cm Catfish by April and a 52cm Yellowbelly by Cory, Brock Farlow got a 68cm Cod there were 3 other catfish caught over 60cm's, Nat spencer landed a 61cm Eel fishing down the Mann but the hottest spot was Glenlyon Dam where Curly Mather and Brenton Hodge Landed 19 fish between them . The Winners Overall Curly Mather 12 fish @ 511cm, Ladies April Correy 4 fish @ 235cm and Junior Brad Spencer 1 @ 44cm.
Our next Comp will be a Freshwater fish anywhere on March 16 and 28 it coincides with the Pirtek comp so enter up and get out on there water somewhere.
We also have a Freshwater scheduled for April 6 and 7 but unless we get some water into our local dams we may make it a Saltwater comp.
