They competed against Glen Innes Public School and a variety of small schools from the region.
After a cloudy and windy start to the morning, the weather turned on a dime at 10am and turned into a beautiful summer’s day just in time for the start of the carnival.
The action in the pool was fast and competitive with all swimmers giving their very best efforts.
The way in which our students from TSHPMPS behaved throughout the day was outstanding, with high levels of sportsmanship shining through.
Special recognition must go to the following students on their performances in the pool:
Oska – Senior Boys Champion and record breaker in the Senior Boys Individual Medley with a time of 3.36.27
Zoe – Junior Girls Champion
Ellie – Senior Girls Runner Up Champion
Darcy– 11 Yrs Boys Runner Up Champion
A big thank you must go to the dedicated parents, family and friends of our swimmers who attended the day and supported every child so fantastically and assisted with time keeping duties.
Mrs Jane Lawrence from GIPS also deserves a special thank you for organising an excellent carnival.
Students who have qualified for the zone carnival in Armidale will be notified today (Monday) and will need to return their permission notes to school by Wednesday, February 20.
